Naturally gluten-free, dairy-free and paleo, these little guys are not only delicious, but also compatible with a clean-eating meal plan.
This recipe calls for:
- Oat Flour – I use this one
- Peanut Butter (or almond butter if paleo)
- Dark Chocolate Chips (optional)
Looking for easy? You’ve found it with these nutrient-packed peanut butter energy bites. No hand-mixing, kneading or stirring required. Just throw all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and you’re good to go.
Make sure you’ve had a meal or a snack before you make these – as they will require some time in the freezer before being devoured. Of course there’s always the option to eat the batter… we won’t judge.

These peanut butter energy bites are also an amazing substitute for sweets. Instead of scooping a bowl of ice cream, eat an energy bite and I guarantee your sugar craving will be satisfied. If not, eat another!

- 2 cups oat flour*
- 1 cup peanut butter (or other nut butter for a paleo option)*
- 1/2 cup honey*
- 1 cup pitted dates
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Melted dark chocolate (optional)
- Add ingredients except dark chocolate (if using) into a food processor. Mix until a smooth, dough-like texture is formed. About 1-2 minutes.
- Spoon out batter and roll into balls one tablespoon at a time. Place on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
- Place dark chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 15-second increments until melted. Drizzle over the energy bites.
- Store in an air-tight container and keep refrigerated for up to one week. Makes 20-25 balls.
* If you don’t have oat flour, you can use rolled oats to make it yourself. Measure two cups of oats and blend in the food processor until a flour-like consistency.
* For a paleo option, use another type of nut butter like almond butter or cashew butter.
* For a vegan option, use maple syrup instead of honey.
